      'CONTEMPLATION'      

Sally named this bronze Chimpanzee sculpture"Contemplation" and recognising our putative common ancestry of as recently as 7 million years ago, has deliberately evoked the strong humanoid element in her subject. Hands crossed, feet clasped together and head rested meditatively on the forearms all suggest the chimpanzee's retreat inside his own mind. The slightly downcast gaze and the hunched body position of the bronze Chimp Sculpture also serve to emphasise this moment of reflection. This lifelike tabletop ornament subtly draws attention to the interdependence of man and his wildlife heritage.
