Inspired by her involvement with Help for Heroes, following the serious wounding of her son in Afghanistan, an officer with 2nd Rifles, and by the sight of a soldier at Reading station returning from that war, Sally left her beloved animals to record, in her favourite medium, the high courage and battle weariness of so many of our gallant young men.
